What not to do with AdSense

Google AdSense has terms of use which Google does enforce. If you break Googles rules you run the risk of being kicked off the AdSense program for good. Some things to avoid are:

1. Never click your own adverts

2. Don't keep refreshing your web page when viewing it in the browser

3. Don't try 'hiding' content so that people won't be able to see it but the AdSense bot will e.g. small fonts, invisible fonts, hidden layers.

4. Only put adverts on pages that contain textual content. Google AdSense specifically refer to this requirement in their terms and conditions. An example of a non-content page is a login page or a form input page. Therefore you should not place adverts in your web site heading or footer sections as these ads will appear on all your web site pages.

To summarize: don't try and outsmart the AdSense team by doing clever things to bend the rules. Keep within the rules and play it straight.
